Advanced, intelligent technology
The GR Series features industry-leading processing technology, packing 2 Intel® Xeon® processors that feature QuickPath technology, providing dynamic design configuration and outstanding memory performance, along with Turbo Boost1 and Hyper-Threading Technology for rapid response to multiple-threaded workloads. The expanded GR Series now also features units with 2 or 4 AMD Opteron™ processors with the ultra power of 8 core and 12 core, both with 12MB L3 cache.

Smarter operation reliability
Equipped with a dual-port, 2x dual-port or 2x quad-port Gigabit Ethernet controllers providing network failover, this fully manageable rack server also houses up to 6 fixed system fans for increased cooling and features mirrored memory and lock step mode for seamless and uninterrupted operation. Additionally, the GR Series also features such security measures as HDD mechanical lock, device boot control, and optional TPM-based data protection via cryptographic keys, complemented by up to 16 hot-pluggable SAS or SATA hard drives with software RAID with either 0, 1, 10 or 0, 1, 5, 10 support.

Complete management in 1U
These 1U or 2U rack servers give you robust management solutions with a simple, unified interface. Gateway Smart Setup provides rapid configuration while Gateway Smart Server Manager delivers solid and expandable data administration. In addition, the GR Series Servers are pre-installed with the Gateway Smart Console to provide system health monitoring, alert notification and KVM-over-IP remote management.
